I'm a what?

Sat Oct 17, 2009, 3:33 PM
No, not a wizard... a senior.

Yes, yes, I've been a senior (in high school) for about 1 1/2 months already, and it's not the end of the world and I have plenty of year left. But it's still kind of weird. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward dearly to college, and not feeling as much like a baby compared to all my friends already in college... but it's weird.

What brought this on, incidentally, is that I checked my senior box at school Thursday... and retrieved four pieces of paper, all of them meant specifically for seniors. Mostly the one that was odd was a letter from one of my fellow seniors reminding us all of a project she started to take pictures of us all our freshman year and then again our senior year, and asking when she could take the second set of pictures. I'd almost totally forgotten about that, but I do remember when I did it my freshman year, senior year seemed too far away to comprehend... and now it's senior year. And I'm... mostly comprehending it.

Let it be said, I'm not angsty about this. I really am super excited for college. But boy oh boy, it is weird.

In other news... November is in like 14 days. AHHHHH. It is indeed NaNo time. I have a setting and characters, and I'm excited, but I'm reckoning this year I really will be getting no sleep because of it... seeing as fall show is also culminating in November. Let me repeat: AHHHHH.

  • Mood: Affection
  • Listening to: Christine Lavin
  • Reading: Yu Yu Hakusho, among other things
  • Watching: Joss Whedon shows, a bunch of other stuff
  • Playing: Lego Indiana Jones, Super Smash Bros Brawl
  • Eating: Nothing, had a yummy lunch though
  • Drinking: Nothing

You'll get used to it... :) it's eventually a really great feeling.

Good luck with WriMo!!

It's SHMOIE - the pirate sensation that's sweeping the nation!! :D

Get in on the action. Listen to her theme song at [link] or search 'Shmoie' on dA to discover her many tributes. XD

fourteen days...? shit.
And I know what you mean: it's surreal. It doesn't get sad until the end, and even then it's a bittersweet sad, not really a totally devastating sad, because in the end you're free.
I love you Hanna. It's been way too long since I've talked to you. We have to all try and get together when I'm home for Thanksgiving, okay? I won't survive otherwise. <3<3<3
Oh, and good luck with WriMo. ;)

It was pretty surreal for me too, actually up until we were on our way to the senior party. But it's a really good feeling too, not all tears. You'll love college, I know that I sure do. So much more freedom like maddie said. And... I know this is crazy, but you actually learn stuff. And more importantly you learn stuff that you can use

Oh WriMo how I failed that last year. Good luck Banana

I know. I'm excited. For that and NaNo.

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

Yes, fourteen days. @_@;; But it's fun.

I love you too hon. But you have to tell me the days of your break! I'm in California for Thanksgiving and college touring for part of late November... hopefully they coincide a little bit!

Expect an email from me to catch up with you soon. Or, if you have your mailing address, maybe I'll write you a real live letter.

Thanks :) and I'm very much looking forward to learning stuff. Stuff I'm interested in learning and will use in life, unlike derivatives and how the Easton paradigm relates to Mad Max. :P

nuu! Well, it's more likely that I'll see you at Christmas anyway, I've realized... I would love to try and see you over Thanksgiving, but I've only got like three days, because the train ride takes ALL DAY.
Email me soon and we can chat.
