DH 7DS - Envy bio pieceINT. CHAPEL, ENVY & PRIDE'S ROOM, DAY
ENVY (20) and PRIDE (19) sit together on a bed, laughing and talking.
PRIDE: What were you thinking?
ENVY: I honestly don't remember! It's been years, Pride. It just seemed like a good idea at the time, and I mean, it wasn't like I was at risk of getting into trouble, at that point my father could get me out of anything, not that I was some kind of troublemaker but -
PRIDE: Oh, please, of course you weren't. You were a goody two shoes, I know it, all of the rich girls upstairs are goody two shoes.
ENVY: Oh I wasn't that bad.
PRIDE: You didn't think you were that bad. Your servants thought you were ridiculous, believe me, I would have.
ENVY: You're so skeptical. Come on, I knew how to have fun, how would you know?
PRIDE: Everyone up there, Envy, young ladies at least, they're all the same. They're all perfect and they're all the same, you just didn't notice it because it was normal fo
DH 7DS - Sloth bio pieceINT. CHAPEL, BEDROOM, EARLY MORNING
SLOTH (20) is lying unconscious in a bed. She's clearly battered, badly bruised, and breathing somewhat heavily. LUST (21) sits in a chair in the corner, eyes closed, holding her rosary, but not audibly praying.
SLOTH shifts in her sleep and LUST perks up, opening her eyes. She replaces the rosary around her neck and stands up, walking to the bed and peering over. SLOTH slowly wakes up, blinking. It takes her a moment to get her bearings and shift to a more upright position. She looks over, recognizes LUST, and seems for a moment startled; then she smiles weakly.
LUST: ... You're awake.
SLOTH: Guess so.
SLOTH: So you met her?
LUST: Yes. She left after she brought you here, but...
SLOTH: Then you know. Don't you?
LUST stops, visibly stiffening a little, and lets out a breath.
LUST: Yes. I do.
SLOTH smiles a little agai
The Parlour IncidentOne day in July, I believe it was, I found myself sitting with several acquaintances in Christopher's parlour. It was one of those deliciously lazy afternoons which only the summer in her full glory can bring. The room had a wan, listless light to it, relaxing the other guests and myself as we languidly chatted over tea and crumpets. The air was also sluggishly heavy, dulling the senses to a slowly-blended calm engendered by the heat of St. Othniel's southerly climate.
At length, after much stimulating conversation, Christopher stood, producing a book of sheet music.
"What do you all say to a bit of music?" he asked.
"Certainly," I answered.
"Oh yes, please do darling!" Tabitha exclaimed, "he's quite the maestro."
Christopher laughed, shaking his head.
"Now, now love, I'd not go that far."
He strode over to the piano as the other guests urged him on. Ida entered the room bearing a merrily steaming teapot and more crumpets.
"More tea sirs?" she inquired, shooting sideways glances at her
