Bayou Bugaloo

These photos are all from my recent trip to Portsmouth, VA and Washington D.C. We were there for a family reunion. The scenery there was lovely and old and it was really cool for me, since I'm a West coaster and am not used to there being cool old stuff just everywhere. It was also ridiculously hot and I don't intend to ever, ever live there. But it's nice to visit and take pictures of. Most of the photos are unedited, because I have Photoshop now but I'm lazy, there are a ton, and I don't really know how to use Photoshop except for the very very basic stuff.

This is where it gets strange, folks. On Saturday we went to the Bayou Bugaloo and Cajun Food Festival in Norfolk, which entailed listening to a lot of good New Orleans music and having some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life like seriously oh my god. Around the grounds of the bugaloo were these lovely papier mache statues of... strange things. The gate to the bugaloo was this lobster. This is one of his claws. Next to it were his head, and his other claw.
